Here's a series of best practices regarding several aspect of the DTT program

  • Task abandonment

Task abandonment should always be avoided, as it will reflect badly on both you as linguists and us as vendors. If, for any reason, you are no longer able to keep working on a task, please send an email to [email protected] as soon as possible, so we can reassign the task(s) within the pool.

  • On-time delivery and extension requests

OTS is a crucial aspect of the DTT workflow, as late deliveries will affect your metrics. Always be mindful of the deadline of your task, and if you require an extension please reach out to [email protected]

Keep in mind that extensions can't be granted all the time, so please reach out to us as soon as you realise you may need more time to work on a project so we can check if an extension is feasible. Do not wait for the project to become overdue to ask for the extension.

  • Artificial intelligence (AI)

As per company policy, it is strictly prohibited to rely on AI tools to complete your DTT tasks. Human expertise, cultural sensitivity, and context comprehension are paramount in ensuring the best outcomes. Therefore, we kindly request that you refrain from using any AI tools and continue to rely on your expertise and experience to fulfill your tasks.

  • Overclicking the Get Task button

Kindly refrain from overclicking the Get Tasks button in your Originator dashboard, as it may lead to the temporary freezing of your account for a duration of 24 hours. A good practice is to check 2-3 times per hour, whenever you have time.

  • Forbidden tools to automatically get tasks from SASS

The use of any software/tool/script/bot for getting tasks from SASS is strictly prohibited. The engineering team at Netflix is able to flag any linguist adopting this behaviour by monitoring the number of interactions of each account on the platform.

If caught in using such automatic means, the linguist will be immediately removed from the project and banned from SASS ecosystem.

Linguists are required to check for new available tasks, by manually clicking on GET TASK button on the UI, each day they are available to grab new tasks/assignments.

  • Account sharing

Sharing logging details, working under one account as a group, public account usage etc. are strictly forbidden. If identified, affected account(s) may be immediately suspended.

  • Leak of contents

We want to stress out the importance of granting a leak-proof environment for all the parts involved in this project.

As you are all aware, the filmmakers, along with Netflix, go to great lengths to refrain from leaking information about shows and movies and we ask that the people involved in working on Netflix content exercise that same restraint. There is an article on the Partner Help Center which offers a reminder about what confidentiality means to Netflix and expectations around adhering to those ever-important NDAs and business agreements. We encourage you to strictly follow these guidelines.
